We’re excited to collaborate with these two communities for this May Edition of R&G. This special TakeOver night will host the same energy from their respective studio sessions, only now under the Rhythm&GrooV party atmosphere. Not just for dancers or cyphers, we always encourage to grab some drinks at the bar and get your 2-step on with one another on the dance floor as we all enjoy the thing we all love, MUSIC.
We’re also changing things up for this month’s party to feature an R&G Showcase Platform. We’ll be offering 3 performance slots for anybody interested in doing a short showcase at the event. Open to all dance styles, solo, groups, freestyle, or choreographed. Very casual, no judgements and no pressure environment, think of it as an open-mic but for the dance floor. Bring your music on a usb drive or on your phone and tell us your story!

Rhythm&Groov is a monthly party for dancers and music lovers the same, hosted by the Bay Area’s own Locking crew, The GroovMekanex. Expect to hear blends ranging from Disco, Funk, & Soul… to Boogie, House, and everything else funky provided by our resident DJ’s from the GroovMekanex + GMx family. We started this event last year in efforts to help fundraise for our yearly anniversary & Locking Jam, which we hope to make even bigger this year as it will be the 20th Anniv!
