Performed at a Typhoon Haiyan Relief fundraiser called Open Floor. First time doing a solo that was longer than 1 minute haha. This one was more for crowd entertainment. Didn’t have any set choreography, but kind of had an idea of what I wanted to do to different parts of the mix. Fun crowd. Thanks to Monday Night Workshops for having me out to perform.
“Open Floor” is an annual gathering of Northern California artists to share growth, inspiration, and art through dance. By having the honor of upcoming dancers/choreographers to participate in showcasing their craft to the community, we cultivate real life interactions by witnessing what is normally seen through a computer screen.
“Open Floor” is a charity event hosted by Monday Night Workshop in which half of proceeds made will be donated to a charity called “Family Giving Tree.” With the recent events of Super Typhoon Haiyan, Monday Night Workshop has decided to donate the proceeds to an organization called “Gawad Kalinga” this year in their efforts to provide aid to Philippines.
