Locking Classes, Mondays at the Wiki Dojo: w/Dennis Infante

*UPDATE 01/03/14: This class is no longer in session at this location.

Beginners and Intermediate Locking classes every Monday at the Wiki Dojo! I believe it is the only class in the east bay right now dedicated to just LOCKING. Great learning environment, come through and get with THE FUNK!

For more info, mailing list, and/or serious inquires email wikidojo@gmail. There is also enough time after class to make it out to the GroovMekanex open sessions at City Dance SF!

BEGINNERS 6:30-7:30pm:
This class will primarily focus on the fundamental vocabulary, technique, and feel within locking and ways to use the movements for simple freestyle and improvisation.

Cost for beginner class is $7 per student. Mainly an adult class, but also open to ages 10 and up.

(**Update as of Jan 7, 2013**. Beginner classes are now by Appt/RSVP only. Send your RSVP to wikidojo@gmail.com at least the day before class).

INTERMEDIATE 8-9:30pm:
This class caters to the intermediate students who are already familiar with the basic vocabulary in locking. Although we will always warm up with the basics and technique, the majority of the focus can range from variations, combinations, grooves, character, basic power, transitions, musicality, changing the feel to different music genres, as well as time to freestyle. Definitely a student’s choice class, come with questions, leave with better insight. Ultimate goal of the class is to help each student learn how to DANCE and also find their own identity within the style of LOCKING.

Cost for Intermediate class is $7
