I was originally asked to DJ the battles for this event, but I decided to compete instead for a chance to battle in the world finals in Korea. Haven’t done a 1on1 Locking Battle in awhile (because I always had to DJ haha) so I felt this would be a good event to get motivated to get out there again.

I felt I could’ve done more, or better in some of my rounds, but in every case I just let the music tell me what to do, which is always one of my goals anyway. Props to everyone who entered and much respect to Lady C for bringin’ that heat in the final battle. She also did the popping battle too! Amazing dancer!

That whole weekend was inspiring in general. I will try my best to represent the USA out in R-16 Korea World Finals for everyone that inspired me this past weekend. This will be my first locking battle overseas so hopefully I can show everyone a different kind of funk with my locking. Time to practice!
