RULES:
This is a 2 on 2 battle where a pro dancer will be paired at random with a non-pro dancer. For this event, we’re defining a pro dancer as someone who has been paid to dance, is in a dance company, or regularly enters dance competitions. This means that a non-pro dancer can be anyone outside of those constraints.
There are 4 rounds. Competitors will be taking shots between rounds so you can expect the following battle format:
Prelims – Pro dancers will go out one at a time for a showcase.
Top 8 – Top 8 that are chosen will be paired with a non-pro dancer. The top 8 pairs then take a shot and proceed to a 2 v 2 battle.
Top 4 – The top 4 pairs take a shot and then proceed to a 2 v 2 battle.
Finals – The final 2 competitors take a shot and then proceed to a 2 v 2 battle.
Starting with the top 8 round, there will also be a prop that must be used at least once by each side. These will be announced the day of the battle.
