WEFUNK Radio (Show 901 In‑Studio Recording) w/Dennis Infante

Back in March, I had the honor of DJing live on WEFUNK Radio in Montreal. I’ve been following the show forever and it felt crazy I’d be playing on the show with DJ Static and Professor Groove. Meeting Professor Groove and seeing him do the show intro live at the studio was crazy to me. Besides being lowkey starstruck, nervous, and excited, it was a super fun night. Thank you fellas for having me as a guest on the show. Was happy to also share some of our Bay Area artists, related, and tracks from some of my favorite dancers. Teeko Shimon, Dug Infinite, Max Kane, Dem One, Hopie, Dibiase, Catch The Ghost Records, Gyrefunk, Vinroc, Caroline Lady C Fraser, Mop Top & Mystidious Misfitss

Big shout out and thank you to Kenny Kenini Vu, Hoi Do for having me for their Locking event OnPoint III and also Scramblelock for helping me get to the station!

Here is the live recording from that night. Be sure to follow WEFUNK Radio every Friday and also through their website to check out their archives spanning back to 900 shows!

Dennis

*Side note: Regarding their excerpt below.. I appreciate the super kind words, but I still don’t consider myself close to being a dance veteran (yet maybe lol), but yes I have been doing it for a good span of my life though.

Excerpt from WEFUNK

Street dance veteran Dennis Infante lets loose searing spoken word by Rich Medina, infectious covers by Tall Black Guy Productions and Sunlightsquare, a soulful remix of a Leon Ware classic, and Bay Area bangers from Max Kane, Hopie and Dug Infinite. Plus eccentric antics from Danny Brown, Afrolatin pyrotechnics from Antibalas, and Moniquea’s synth soliloquy “Checkin’ Out”.
