Had a lot of fun with this set. Hip-Hop and Breaks are probably my favorite genres to play because there is so much you can do to cut up songs, loop breaks, and trick mix along the way. I love and embrace the new technology in DJing nowadays, but there’s something about using just the basic bread & butter foundation that makes the whole experience that much more fun. Sounds from Classic Breaks such as Rock Creek Park, Shaft in Africa, I Believe In Miracles, Joyous, Get Happy, I Like Funky Music, Can, Brother Green, sprinkled with some block party jams, to some juggle routine inspired tributes of some of my favorite OG DJs Grandmaster Flash, Cash Money, Scratch, and Jazzy Jeff to some Old School Rap staples like Sucker MC’s, Pee-Wee’s Dance, and Pump It Up.
